👤 DEI Account Management
Your DEI account is the central identity used to access internal services, including VPN, Wi-Fi (Eduroam), and laboratory machines.

The MyDEI portal allows you to manage your credentials and security settings independently.

If you lost access, use the automated recovery system.
Authentication Tip
To log in to MyDEI, use your full DEI email address and your current DEI password.
🆕 Don't have an account yet?
If you are a new student or researcher and don't have a DEI account, you must request one from the SIC team.
Important: Email Source
- UC Students: You must send this request using your official UC institutional email (
@student.uc.pt). - Others: If you don't have a UC account yet, you may use a personal email, but you must state the reason why you require a DEI account (e.g., specific research project or course enrollment).
How to request:
Send an email to helpdesk@dei.uc.pt with the following information:
Required Data (Copy & Fill)
- Full Name: [Your name here]
- Student Number: [e.g., 202XXXXXXX]
- Mobile Number: [Required for password recovery only]
- Alternative Email: [Personal email address]
- Current Course: [LEI, MEI, PhD, etc.]
🛡️ Security Best Practices
- Never share your password: The SIC team will never ask for your password via email.
- Use Strong Passwords: Combine uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
- Keep Recovery Data Updated: Ensure your mobile number in MyDEI is correct to avoid being locked out.
